How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Supply Chain Assistant – About our client:

Our client is a successful, family-owned business with an excellent reputation for supplying high-quality products to customers across the UK and internationally. With continued growth and investment, they're looking to welcome a Supply Chain Assistant into their expanding team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a genuinely supportive and collaborative business where everyone works together, regardless of seniority. You'll be joining a growing department where you'll receive hands-on training, exposure to multiple areas of the Supply Chain function, and the opportunity to build a long-term career.

    Supply Chain Assistant – Details:

    £26,000 starting salary
    Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, increasing with length of service
Half day off on your birthday
PerkBox benefits platform, including monthly flexi-points, retail discounts and a 24/7 confidential wellbeing support service
Staff discount on products and regular product taste testing
Bi-annual social events and Christmas party
    Salary sacrifice pension scheme
Enhanced family leave, Death in Service and Cycle to Work scheme following successful probation

    Supply Chain Assistant – Overview:

This is a varied, highly administrative role supporting a busy and growing Supply Chain team. You'll provide essential support across purchasing, production planning and supplier management, helping to keep the department running smoothly.

As one of the most central functions within the business, Supply Chain works closely with every department, giving you fantastic exposure across the organisation. You'll also gain an understanding of the full product journey from concept to customer – from sourcing ingredients and packaging through to seeing finished products in cafés, restaurants and retail environments.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with detail, has the confidence to question anything that doesn't look quite right, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Whether you have some administration experience or are looking to start your career after graduating, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within Supply Chain.

    Supply Chain Assistant – Responsibilities:

Providing administrative support across the Supply Chain department
Raising purchase orders and maintaining supplier information
Monitoring delivery schedules and updating internal systems
Assisting with production planning and forecasting activities
Maintaining accurate product, supplier and stock records
Supporting new product introductions through system setup and administration
Producing reports, spreadsheets and management information
Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and taking minutes
Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate information is maintained
Monitoring shared inboxes and responding to routine enquiries
Assisting with continuous improvement projects and new system implementation
Supporting the wider team with additional administrative duties as required

Supply Chain Assistant – What We're Looking For:

A highly organised individual with exceptional attention to detail
Confident working with data and maintaining accurate records
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
The confidence to question inaccuracies and identify potential issues
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
Adaptable and happy working in a changing, fast-paced environment
A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and support the wider team
Previous administration experience would be advantageous but is not essential
An interest in Supply Chain, Procurement or Business Operations would be beneficial
If you are interested in this role, please apply today with your CV.
