How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Wisbech

    Contract: Full-time, Part-time, Long-Term & Temporary Opportunities
    Salary: £93-£110 per day (dependent on qualifications and experience)

    Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of mainstream and specialist schools in Wisbech and the surrounding areas from September 2026.

    Whether you have experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or other additional needs, we have a variety of rewarding opportunities available to suit your experience and career goals.

    The Role

    As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual potential. Working alongside class teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams, you will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
    Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and other additional learning needs.
    Assisting pupils to engage with classroom activities and the wider school environment.
    Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
    Implementing EHCPs, individual learning plans and behaviour support strategies.
    Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
    Supporting with personal care where required.
    Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND.
    A patient, resilient and proactive approach.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
    A passion for supporting children to achieve their potential.
    A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
