How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teaching Assistant - Supply Work Across Chesterfield

    Flexible Full-Time Supply Opportunities | Start September 2026

    Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work across the Chesterfield area? Whether you're seeking regular classroom experience or the freedom to choose when you work, Tradewind Recruitment would love to hear from you.

    We are recruiting reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support a variety of primary schools across Chesterfield on a supply basis. You'll play an important role covering staff absence, providing classroom support and working with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

    To be considered, you'll need previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant and be available to work at least 3 days per week. A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant school-based experience.

    The Role

    Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the primary age range.
    Providing one-to-one and small group support.
    Supporting pupils with SEND to help them achieve their full potential.
    Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive learning environment.
    Covering short-term and longer-term staff absences in a range of welcoming primary schools.

    We're Looking For

    Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
    A Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous but not essential.
    A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different schools.
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week.
