How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Behaviour Support Assistant

    Salary: £92.59 per day 
    Start Date: Immediately  

    Location: Blandford Forum / Colehill
    Contract: Full time, long term

    Do you have a passion for supporting young people in overcoming challenges? We are looking for compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistants who want to work within a Pupil Referral Unit in Dorset.

    The school caters for children across KS2-4 who have behavioural needs. They have 3 sites, two of these in Blandford Forum and a NEW site opening in October 2026 which will be based in Colehill. The school are keen to find those who will want to be part of the Colehill site but happy to spend time on the Blandford Forum sites to settle in! 

    Roles are FULL TIME. And the school will offer permanent positions to the right candidates!

    You must have Grade 4 (C) or above in MATHS and ENGLISH for this role. 

    To work with GSL Education, you should:    

    Have the right to work in the UK.
    Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
    Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.   
    Those with a UK driving licence and access to a car will be prioritised!
