How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Southwark, South East London
    Start Date: September
    Contract: One-Term Fixed Contract (Autumn Term)
    Working Pattern: 3 days per week (Job Share)
    Pay: £160-£220 per day (PAYE), increasing after 12 weeks

    This is a part-time role (3 days per week) as part of a well-established job share, making it an ideal opportunity for teachers seeking a better work-life balance while continuing to make a real impact in the classroom.

    The Role

    As the Year 6 Class Teacher, you will:

    Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons using planning that is fully prepared and provided.
    Focus on delivering excellent teaching and supporting pupil progress, without the burden of planning.
    Work collaboratively with your job share partner to ensure continuity for the class.
    Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

    We are looking for someone who:

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    Has recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
    Has a good understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment requirements.
    Is an excellent team player who can work collaboratively within a job share arrangement.
    Has strong classroom management skills and high expectations for all learners.
