How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mobile HGV Technician – Field Based | Wednesbury

    Accord Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of a well-established commercial vehicle business for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join their growing field service team covering the Wednesbury area.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys working independently, travelling to customer sites, and carrying out a variety of servicing, maintenance and breakdown repairs on HGVs.

    šŸ”§ The Role

    As a Mobile HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing HGVs at customer premises and roadside locations, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant and on the road.

    šŸ”§ Key Responsibilities

    * Service, maintain and repair HGVs at customer sites

    * Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults

    * Attend roadside breakdowns and emergency call-outs

    * Carry out inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance

    * Complete repairs to DVSA and manufacturer standards

    * Accurately complete job cards and service documentation

    * Deliver excellent customer service while working independently

    šŸ”§ About You

    * Previous experience as an HGV Technician, Mobile HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic

    * NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

    * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

    * Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

    * Full UK Driving Licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)

    * Reliable with a professional and customer-focused approach
