How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you an experienced Senior Civil Engineer looking to work on some of the world's most prestigious infrastructure and development projects?

    We're recruiting for a long-term contract opportunity with a leading international engineering consultancy supporting the delivery of major projects across the Middle East. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on technically challenging developments including world-class sports venues, iconic high-rise buildings and large mixed-use schemes.

    The role

    Working as part of a highly experienced design team, you'll be responsible for delivering drainage and utilities designs from concept through to detailed design, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and international stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical standards.

    What you need to succeed

    Deliver drainage and utilities designs for large-scale international developments.

    Produce drainage strategies, calculations, reports and technical drawings.

    Develop designs using Civil 3D and drainage software such as InfoDrainage and/or HydroCAD.

    Coordinate with internal design teams and overseas clients throughout project delivery.

    Ensure designs comply with project requirements, regional regulations and industry best practice.

    Support design reviews and provide technical input across all project stages.

    Strong drainage and utilities design experience.

    Previous involvement in large-scale developments such as commercial, high-rise, mixed-use or sports projects.

    Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with international project teams.

    Experience working on Middle East projects would be advantageous but is by no means essential
