The school caters for children aged 3-11 and benefits from a dedicated SEND resource provision supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Duties as Autism Room Lead:
Leading daily provision within the KS1 Autism Room
Supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder and associated needs
Delivering structured learning activities and interventions
Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, therapists, and support staff
Supporting communication, sensory regulation, and social development
Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to EHCP targets
Creating a calm, nurturing, and highly structured learning environmentIdeal Autism Room Lead:
Previous experience working with children with ASD
Experience within an SRP, SEND Unit, or specialist provision is highly desirable
Strong understanding of autism-friendly strategies and interventions
Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
Ability to lead and support a team effectively
Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
