How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you a qualified Electrician looking for a permanent role with a leading social housing provider where you can make a real difference to customers and communities?

    We're recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a busy and supportive Electrical Team, delivering high-quality repairs, testing, rewires and installations across residential properties throughout North Somerset and Bristol.

    The Role

    As an Electrician, you'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical works across occupied and void properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Carrying out full and partial rewires.
    Completing responsive electrical repairs and installations.
    Undertaking Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
    Working on both 230V and 415V electrical systems.
    Installing energy-efficient and carbon-reducing technologies.
    Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out remedial works.
    Ensuring all work complies with the latest BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
    Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a right-first-time approach.
    Working within your designated geographical area while supporting neighbouring locations when required.

    About You

    Recognised electrical qualification.
    City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) qualification.
    Working knowledge of the current edition of BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
    Experience carrying out rewires, repairs, testing and electrical installations.
    Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
    Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    Full UK Driving Licence.
