How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Forklift Driver

    Location: Coventry, CV64
    Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

    Shift Pattern

    Successful candidates will initially work a day shift of 8:00am to 5:00pm. At a later stage, the role will transition to a rotating 3-shift pattern, although no confirmed date has been set:

    * 6:00am to 2:00pm

    * 2:00pm to 10:00pm

    * 10:00pm to 6:00am

    About the Role

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver to join a busy manuafacturing and warehouse operation. You will be responsible for the safe transportation and storage of tyres, rims, finished assemblies, and other materials throughout the production facility, ensuring components are delivered efficiently and customer deliveries are loaded accurately and on time.

    When required, you will also support the manufacturing team with production and quality-related tasks.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Safely operate a forklift truck in accordance with company procedures and health & safety regulations.

    * Conduct daily pre-use checks and ensure forklifts are clean and in good working condition at the start of each shift.

    * Load and unload incoming and outgoing deliveries.

    * Store goods correctly in designated warehouse locations following storage procedures.

    * Retrieve materials for production requirements and customer orders.

    * Record goods accurately within the warehouse management system.

    * Follow scanning and stock recording procedures to maintain inventory accuracy.

    * Identify, label and report defective pallets and load carriers.

    * Carry out quantity checks on incoming and outgoing goods.

    * Assist with stock takes and inventory management activities.

    * Issue delivery documentation for empty containers where required.

    * Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse and work areas.

    * Support planning teams by reporting discrepancies, delays, and stock-related issues.

    * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.

    Candidate Requirements

    * Minimum 1 year's forklift driving experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

    * Valid and externally accredited forklift licence/certificates are essential.

    * In-house certificates cannot be accepted.

    * Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.

    * Experience using warehouse management systems and scanning equipment is advantageous.

    * Reliable, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

    * Willingness to work rotating shifts when required.
