The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to join a well-established and rapidly growing M&E contractor delivering nationwide commercial fit-out, refurbishment and installation projects.
With over 20 years of experience transforming commercial environments, the business provides complete mechanical and electrical solutions from design through to completion for a portfolio of high-profile retail and commercial clients. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Qualifying Supervisor to oversee electrical compliance, testing and quality across multiple projects.
This is a hybrid role, splitting your time between the office, working from home and visiting sites across the UK. You'll enjoy plenty of autonomy while working closely with project teams, subcontractors and senior management to ensure the highest standards of electrical compliance and quality.
The Role
As the Qualifying Supervisor, you'll act as the company's NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor, ensuring all electrical installations, inspection and testing activities are completed in line with current regulations and company standards.
You'll oversee testing programmes, support project delivery teams, monitor installation quality, carry out site audits and inspections, and play a key role in maintaining compliance across both live and completed projects.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the company's registered NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor.
Oversee electrical installation, inspection, testing and certification across multiple projects.
Verify electricians' inspection and testing results.
Monitor project progress and ensure electrical test certificates are issued on time.
Carry out regular site inspections to ensure installation quality and compliance.
Support project teams during commissioning, handover and defects periods.
Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, clients and main contractors to resolve technical issues.
Maintain calibration records for testing equipment and PAT testing registers.
Produce regular compliance and progress reports for the management team.
Ensure all works are completed in line with Health & Safety, QA and current BS7671 regulations.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Qualifying Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor or similar.
Experience within commercial electrical installations and building services.
Registered (or previously registered) NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor.
Strong understanding of electrical inspection, testing and compliance.
Experience working alongside project teams on commercial projects.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Confident using Microsoft Office.
Full UK Driving Licence.
