How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    OHL Project Manager – Lancaster – 6 Month Contract – Outside IR35

    Location: Lancaster (Hybrid/Site-Based)
    Contract Length: 6 Months
    Status: Outside IR35

    Milford RES is recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure and utilities organisation seeking an experienced Overhead Line (OHL) Project Manager to support the successful delivery of overhead line projects across the North West.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Project Manager with strong OHL experience to join a busy programme of works on an initial 6-month contract basis.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead the end-to-end delivery of OHL projects up to 33kV.

    * Manage project scope, programme, budget, and resource requirements.

    * Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.

    * Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

    * Oversee project planning, risk management, and reporting activities.

    * Drive compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.

    * Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project updates.

    Requirements

    * Proven experience delivering Overhead Line (OHL) schemes up to 33kV.

    * Demonstrable track record of managing utility, power, or electrical infrastructure projects.

    * Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies and stakeholder management.

    * Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

    * Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

    * Full UK driving licence.

    Desirable

    * Relevant engineering qualification.

    * PRINCE2, PMP, APM, or equivalent project management certification.

    * Experience working within DNO, IDNO, ICP, or utility contractor environments.

    * Knowledge of electrical distribution networks and associated regulations.
