The Roles: Intermediate Estimator & Senior Estimator
They are recruiting for two positions within their estimating department:
Intermediate Estimator
A detail-driven Estimator responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, analysing project requirements and supporting the sales team with competitive pricing proposals. Ideal for someone with at least one year’s estimating experience who wants to develop within a specialist manufacturing environment.
Senior Estimator
A senior-level position with additional responsibility for overseeing the estimating function, supporting junior team members and helping shape processes as the department grows. This role suits an experienced Estimator who is confident leading on complex tenders and contributing to team development.
Key Responsibilities (Both Roles)
* Prepare accurate cost estimates for specialist security products and installation services
* Review tender documents and specifications to determine pricing
* Calculate material, labour and subcontractor costs
* Source and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations
* Assess risks and ensure compliance with UK security standards
* Maintain organised records of estimates and bid submissions
* Collaborate closely with Sales, Project Management and Production teams
Additional Senior Responsibilities
* Support and mentor junior estimators
* Oversee estimating processes and ensure consistency across submissions
* Lead on complex tenders and high-value pricing proposals
* Work closely with management on departmental improvements
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year’s experience in an Estimator role
* All construction backgrounds considered, including subcontracting, contracting, roofing, M&E and flooring
* Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
* Proficiency in estimation software, such as Bluebeam or PlanSwift, and Microsoft Excel
* Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software is beneficial
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
