This Workshop Supervisor job will suit:
* An experienced HGV Technician, PSV Technician, Chargehand, Workshop Controller or Workshop Supervisor.
* Someone with a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification (or similar)
* A confident communicator capable of motivating technicians and maintaining high engineering standards.
* Someone who understands workshop planning, compliance, quality inspections and vehicle availability.
* PCV licence advantageous (or willingness to undertake further training where required).
The Workshop Supervisor role:
* Supervise the day-to-day activities of the engineering workshop, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
* Allocate planned maintenance, inspections, repairs and breakdown work across the engineering team.
* Occasionally support with servicing, repairs, diagnostics and inspections alongside your team.
* Perform quality inspections on completed work and ensure defects are rectified correctly.
* Support vehicle availability by minimising downtime and ensuring fleet compliance.
* Mentor, coach and develop engineering staff while promoting a positive team culture.
* Maintain engineering records, support warranty administration and work closely with stores and operations teams.
* Promote excellent Health & Safety standards and ensure compliance with company procedures and statutory regulations.
This Workshop Supervisor position is commutable from Kidderminster, Stourport-on-Severn, Bewdley, Worcester, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Droitwich Spa, Stourbridge, Hagley, Birmingham, Wolverhampton & surrounding areas.
