How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to landscape design for a range of projects including education, public realm, parks and greenspaces, active travel schemes and design guidance documents.
Provide landscape advice to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Support business development activities, including bid preparation and work-winning initiatives.
Manage projects and assist with financial performance, budgeting and programme delivery.
Coordinate resource allocation in collaboration with senior landscape leadership.
Mentor and support junior members of the team.
Undertake site surveys, design assessments and prepare technical reports.

    Requirements

Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute with extensive post-chartership experience.
Degree-qualified in Landscape Architecture, or a related discipline.
Demonstrable experience delivering multidisciplinary projects, ideally across both public and private sector environments.
Experience within the education sector would be advantageous.
Strong technical delivery capability, including experience of RIBA Stages 4 and 5 and overseeing works on site.
Proven project management skills, including budget management and programme control.
Commercial awareness and an understanding of consultancy project delivery.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with Revit would be beneficial.
Understanding of BIM processes and workflows.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and design documentation.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
