How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    PLC Programmer

If you're a PLC Programmer who enjoys bringing automated manufacturing systems to life, this is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge production equipment within a modern automotive manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in programming, commissioning and supporting highly automated production lines, helping to keep manufacturing running safely, efficiently and reliably.

This is the ideal role for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working closely with engineers across multiple disciplines, and seeing the direct impact of their work on a busy production facility.

    What You'll Be Doing

As a PLC Programmer, you'll be involved throughout the lifecycle of automated production equipment, from developing new control software through to commissioning, optimisation and ongoing support.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    *

Developing, modifying and maintaining PLC software for automated manufacturing equipment.

    *

Programming and commissioning new production machinery and control system upgrades.

    *

Diagnosing and resolving PLC, HMI and automation faults to minimise production downtime.

    *

Supporting continuous improvement projects to increase productivity, reliability and efficiency.

    *

Working closely with electrical, mechanical and production engineers to deliver robust automation solutions.

    *

Assisting with machine commissioning, production line launches and customer acceptance activities.

    *

Maintaining PLC backups, software revisions and technical documentation.

    *

Supporting the integration of new equipment into existing manufacturing processes.

    *

Ensuring automation systems comply with safety standards and site operating procedures.

    What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment and takes pride in solving complex automation challenges.

    Ideally you'll have:

    *

Previous experience as a PLC Programmer, Controls Engineer or Automation Engineer within automotive or another high-volume manufacturing environment.

    *

Strong experience programming Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal.

    *

Experience with HMI development and industrial communication networks.

    *

Excellent fault-finding skills across PLC-controlled machinery and automated production equipment.

    *

A solid understanding of machine safety systems and industrial automation standards.

    *

The ability to remain calm under production pressure while delivering effective technical solutions.

    *

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with production, maintenance and engineering teams.

    *

A proactive mindset with a passion for improving manufacturing performance and reliability.

    Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy manufacturing environment where automation plays a critical role in production success. You'll work on a wide variety of automated systems, be involved in exciting production launches and continuous improvement projects, and have the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise while working alongside experienced engineering professionals.

If you're looking for a role where your automation skills will genuinely make a difference every day, this could be the perfect next step in your career
