How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Welsh-Speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
    Location: Newport
    Contract Type: Full Time

    Are you passionate about supporting young learners? Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a fantastic school in Newport. The position is part-time, initially for three days a week, and is set to begin on 1st September.

    About the School:
    This school is known for its child-centred approach, where the needs of each individual child are at the heart of everything they do. They are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment to help all students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.
    Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning plans.
    Promote inclusive learning and support the emotional and social development of children.
    Use the Welsh language within the school community.
    Work closely with the teaching staff to ensure each child's learning needs are met.

    Essential Skills and Experience:

    It is essential that you are fluent in Welsh, both written and spoken.
    Experience working with children, preferably within an educational setting.
    A compassionate, patient, and positive attitude toward supporting young learners.
    Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

    Desirable:

    Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
    Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a plus.
