How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

    Reporting to the Quality Manager and working alongside the Group Quality Lead, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust quality systems throughout the manufacturing operation. This is a process-focused role where success comes from ensuring procedures are followed, compliance is maintained and continuous improvement becomes part of everyday operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Support the rollout of a new Quality Management System aligned with API requirements.

    * Implement quality procedures across the manufacturing operation and ensure compliance.

    * Carry out process audits and identify opportunities for improvement.

    * Monitor adherence to documented manufacturing procedures.

    * Maintain quality documentation, training records and material traceability records (MTRs).

    * Liaise with customers regarding quality documentation and compliance requirements.

    * Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing.

    * Provide guidance and support to production teams on quality standards and best practice.

    What We're Looking For

    We're keen to speak with Quality Engineers from regulated manufacturing environments where process control and quality systems are critical.

    You'll ideally have:

    * Experience as a Quality Engineer within manufacturing.

    * A strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).

    * Experience implementing and maintaining documented quality procedures.

    * Process auditing experience.

    * Strong communication skills and the confidence to work closely with production teams.

    * A practical, hands-on approach with excellent organisational skills.

    * The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

    Experience within sectors such as oil & gas, aerospace, automotive, valves, precision engineering, heavy engineering or other highly regulated manufacturing environments would be advantageous.

    Knowledge of API standards, material traceability, customer quality documentation or external accreditation projects would also be beneficial but is not essential.

    Salary & Benefits

    * £40,000 depending on experience.

    * Maybe some Salary flexibility available for exceptional candidates.

    * Supportive engineering business within a larger group.

    * Genuine autonomy and responsibility.

    * Excellent long-term career progression opportunities.

    * Opportunity to make a significant contribution to a major quality transformation project.

    If you're a Quality Engineer looking to take ownership of an important quality project, develop your career and gain experience that will strengthen your long-term prospects, we'd love to hear from you.

    Apply today for immediate consideration. Interviews will consist of an initial Teams meeting followed by a site interview, with feedback provided promptly throughout the process
