How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our client is a highly successful Manchester-based multidisciplinary property consultancy experiencing significant growth across the built environment sector.

With an excellent reputation for delivering specialist consultancy services across Domestic Retrofit, Building Surveying, Building Safety, and Project Management, the business works with clients to create safer, more sustainable, and higher-performing buildings.
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Marketing & Proposals Manager to lead the company's marketing activity and take ownership of the preparation of high-quality bids, tenders, and client proposals.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded marketing professional who enjoys working closely with technical teams and transforming complex information into compelling communications that support business growth.

    The Role

Reporting to the Directors, you will play a key role in developing the company's brand, strengthening market presence, and supporting business development activity.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Developing and delivering the marketing strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
    • Managing brand consistency across all marketing channels and communications.

    • Leading the preparation of bids, tenders, framework submissions, and procurement responses.
    • Coordinating technical input from internal teams to produce compelling and accurate submissions.
    • Supporting client presentations, interviews, and business development initiatives.
    • Maintaining proposal libraries, marketing resources, and CRM information.

    About You

We are looking for an organised, creative, and proactive marketing professional with strong written communication skills and experience producing high-quality client-facing content.

    You will ideally have:

    • Proven experience within a marketing, communications, bid, or proposals role.
    • Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading ability.
    • Experience producing tenders, proposals, or technical submissions.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
    • Experience managing websites, digital marketing, and social media platforms.
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and PowerPoint.

Experience within construction, property consultancy, surveying, engineering, architecture, or professional services would be highly advantageous.
Knowledge of public sector procurement, frameworks, retrofit, building safety, or asset management would also be beneficial.

    Why Join?

This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and growing consultancy at an exciting stage of its development.

You will have genuine ownership of the marketing function, the freedom to shape and develop the company's brand proposition, and the opportunity to make a visible impact on the future direction of the business.

Working closely with respected technical specialists and the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in translating technical expertise into compelling market communications, strengthening client engagement, and supporting continued growth.

This role offers the opportunity for someone to truly make their mark - bringing fresh ideas, creativity, and strategic thinking to a business with a strong reputation, ambitious plans, and a clear vision for the future.
