How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a global leader in cutting-edge automotive electronics manufacturing with the appointment of a Supply Chain Specialist (FTC). This is a unique opportunity to operate at a global level, coordinating supply chain crisis management and material allocation across multiple international manufacturing sites.

    Overall Purpose:

    Responsible for supporting the continuity of supply for raw material components across a global manufacturing network.
    Operating at a strategic level rather than supporting a single site, this role manages worldwide supply shortages, coordinates cross-functional recovery activities, and optimises material allocation across multiple plants and business units.
    Working closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Suppliers, you will minimise production disruption, maintain customer deliveries, and strengthen global supply chain resilience.Key Duties:

    Manage the global allocation of constrained materials across multiple manufacturing sites and business units.
    Coordinate allocation activities with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics and Product teams worldwide.
    Monitor supplier performance and lead recovery plans during global supply shortages.
    Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve critical supply chain issues.
    Lead global supply chain improvement and logistics projects.
    Produce weekly management reports on supply risks, allocation status and recovery actions.
    Represent the business in global allocation meetings and crisis management forums.
    Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance global supply chain resilience.
    Minimise production disruption across the global manufacturing network.
    Reduce customer delivery delays through effective material allocation and crisis management.
    Improve supplier performance and continuity of supply.
    Control expedited freight costs while maintaining service levels.Key Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
    3-5 years' experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Materials Planning within manufacturing, automotive or electronics.
    Experience managing suppliers and improving logistics processes in a global environment.
    Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
    Advanced Excel skills; SAP experience preferred.
    Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
    Willingness to travel as and when needed. The Package:

    £45,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience.
    6 month FTC, with potential 3 month rolling extensions.
    Hybrid working arrangement, 2-3 days in the office, WFH the other days
