How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lead CAS Modeller

    A Lead CAS Modeller is required to join a Coventry based OEM, you will work within a vehicle concepts group and be part of a team who are responsible for the development of new vehicle concepts and early phase definition of the next generation electric vehicles. The Lead CAS Modeller will create and release surfaces that faithfully capture design intent.

    As Lead CAS Modeller - you will be required to

    Support Interior and Exterior Surfacing Managers by effectively managing project inputs and outputs
    Provide strategic guidance to the Interior and Exterior CAS teams on behalf of the Surfacing Managers, ensuring clear communication and alignment with overall project goals. This role is pivotal in streamlining workflows and enhancing team collaboration.
    To create and release surfaces that faithfully capture design intent. Surfaces are aesthetically-optimised and to a high quality of execution that meet specified standards.
     To assist the creative process by interpreting 2D sketches into 3D data for design iteration and approval.
    Sketch 3D Surfaces to aid aesthetic Design development
    Create initial theme proposals to support aesthetic and feasibility studies
    Create surfaces of themes for engineering feasibility verification
    Create surface release for design approval
    Create surface release that provide foundation for production surfacing activity
    As Lead CAS Modeller - you will have

    Degree qualified or equivalent with proven experience in creative & technical digital surface creation using Alias
    Proven experience as an CAS Modeller
    Experience of working with engineering inputs
    Ability to interpret design sketches to create appropriate surface proposals
    Can plan time to meet given deadlines
