How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Do you want a teaching role that’s flexible, rewarding, and genuinely makes a difference? Vision for Education Brighton is urgently recruiting passionate and committed SEND Supply Teachers, including Newly Qualified Teachers and ECTs, to work across a variety of specialist and mainstream schools throughout Sussex.

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your skills, energy, and enthusiasm into SEND settings where no two days are the same - and where your support can truly change lives. We’re especially keen to hear from teachers who have experience in, or a strong interest in, supporting pupils with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

    About the Position

As a SEND Supply Teacher, you’ll have the chance to work across a diverse range of schools, delivering engaging lessons. Some roles will involve planned cover, while others will call on your adaptability, creativity, and problem-solving skills to meet the needs of different learners on the day. Every placement offers the opportunity to build confidence, inspire learning, and support pupils in reaching their full potential.

This role is ideal if you:

Are passionate about inclusive education and supporting children with SEND
Are looking for flexible work that fits around your lifestyle (full-time or part-time)
Want to gain valuable experience across a range of school settings
Are exploring longer-term or permanent opportunities within SEND education
Whether you’re looking for day-to-day flexibility or a longer-term placement, Vision for Education is here to support you every step of the way - helping you find a role that aligns with your goals while allowing you to make a meaningful and lasting impact on pupils with additional needs.

    About the schools

At Vision for Education, we work with a variety of Primary, Secondary & SEN schools, whether they are large city-based schools or small village schools. If you're a qualified teacher, we will find the school for you!

Here at Vision for Education we are also recruiting for permanent teaching roles. Get in touch with us today to find out what roles we have available!
