What You'll Be Doing:
Market expansion - Work closely with sales to explore new markets and applications.
Communication & Reporting - Be the voice of clarity and precision, delivering weekly status updates and leading pre-production kick-off meetings with finesse.
Process Management - Navigate predefined, measurable steps with key checkpoints, ensuring smooth transitions from one phase to the next.
Sample Coordination - Own the sample process from inception to completion, leaving no detail overlooked.
Collaboration - Forge strong partnerships with tooling engineers, external suppliers, and technical resources, driving excellence in every interaction.
NPI Management: Upgrade and maintain NPI processes, ensuring all manufacturing data is logged and deliveries are tracked.
Quality Monitoring - Keep a vigilant eye on outgoing shipments, striving to minimise scrap and uphold quality standards.
Yield Improvement - Champion projects aimed at yield improvement and the reduction of non-added value work.
Documentation Review - Scrutinise production documentation, ensuring accuracy and traceability of production data.
Development - Pursue innovative methodologies that produce impeccable castings.
Rework Management - Document rework meticulously while relentlessly reducing manufacturing costs and eliminating rework.
Design Modifications - Lead design modifications that enhance quality, reduce lead time, and cut tooling and manufacturing costs.
Tool Procurement - Identify and procure new tools essential for new projects and production.
Leadership - Be a beacon of positive change, inspiring the department through exemplary leadership.What We're Looking For:
Proven expertise in quality tools essential to NPI (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, process/quality auditing).
Strong project management skills, particularly in quality aspects of NPI and prototype manufacture.
Proficiency in Excel and Word.
Exceptional communication and coordination abilities.
Collaborative mindset with a knack for working with diverse teams and external suppliers.
Experience in Simulation Software is ideal.
Analytical and problem-solving prowess.
