How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Immediate Start

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, resilient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated Good SEMH school, supporting a Year 9 class.

This role is ideal for someone who has the time, patience and emotional resilience to work with young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, and who is confident taking initiative while working closely alongside experienced class teachers and SEN professionals.

The role will involve supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping them to access learning, regulate behaviour and develop positive relationships within the school environment. You will liaise daily with the class teacher, SENCOs and wider leadership team to ensure consistent support strategies are in place.

    Key responsibilities include:

    *

Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 9 SEMH classroom

    *

Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs

    *

Promoting positive behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation

    *

Using initiative to support pupils proactively while following structured guidance

    *

Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and school leaders

    The successful candidate will have:

    *

Proven experience working with SEMH, ASD and ADHD

    *

Experience with KS3 and KS4 pupils (highly advantageous)

    *

A calm, patient and resilient approach

    *

    Strong communication and relationship-building skills

    *

An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

    What’s on offer:

    *

    Working hours: 8:00am – 3:00pm

    *

Pay from £90 per day, depending on experience

    *

Supportive leadership and a collaborative staff team

    *

A genuinely rewarding role making a real impact on young people’s lives

    Start date: Immediate

If you are committed to supporting young people with additional needs and are looking for a fulfilling role in a high-quality SEMH setting, this opportunity could be the perfect next step
