How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Experienced Knotter

    Location: Leeds
    Pay: £16.23 per hour
    Shift Pattern: Rotating 6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm (Monday-Friday)

    Experienced Knotter Required – Join a Well-Established Textile Manufacturer

    We're currently recruiting on behalf of a long-standing and highly respected textile manufacturer based in Leeds.

    Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Knotter to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable business with a strong reputation and a long history within the textile industry.

    The Role

    As a Knotter, you will play an important role within the manufacturing process, ensuring yarn and production processes are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Operating knotting machinery safely and efficiently.

    * Carrying out knotting processes to maintain continuous production.

    * Setting up machinery and making adjustments where required.

    * Monitoring production quality and ensuring standards are maintained.

    * Identifying and reporting any machine faults or production issues.

    * Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.

    * Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

    * Working closely with the wider production team to achieve daily production targets.

    What We're Looking For

    To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

    * Previous experience working as a Knotter within the textile industry.

    * Experience operating textile manufacturing machinery.

    * Good understanding of yarn, fibres and textile production processes.

    * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

    * A strong work ethic and positive attitude.

    * The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    * Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
