How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Commercial Manager | Oulu, Finland | €160,000–€180,000 + Rotation + Accommodation + Vehicle + Flights + Per Diem

Our client is a globally recognised international main contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering some of the world's largest and most technically advanced construction projects. Due to continued growth within their mission-critical division, they are seeking an exceptional Commercial Manager to lead the commercial delivery of a major hyperscale data centre construction project in Oulu, Finland.

This is a rare opportunity to join one of Europe's most significant data centre developments, taking ownership of the commercial function on a landmark project for a global technology client. The successful candidate will become a key member of the senior leadership team, driving commercial performance from project mobilisation through to final account.

    The Role:

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for all commercial aspects of a major new-build hyperscale data centre project.

Working closely with the Project Director, client representatives and wider project leadership team, you will lead the commercial strategy, manage project risk, oversee procurement and subcontract management, and ensure the successful financial delivery of the project.

This role requires an experienced commercial leader who is comfortable operating on large, complex construction programmes and leading high-performing commercial teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Oversee project cost reporting, forecasting, budgeting and cash flow.
    - Identify and manage commercial risks, opportunities, claims and change events.
    - Lead negotiations with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
    - Manage, mentor and develop the on-site commercial team.
    - Build strong working relationships with key project stakeholders.
    - Ensure the successful commercial delivery of the project from inception through to final account.

    About You:

We're looking for an experienced commercial professional with the leadership skills and technical expertise to deliver major international construction projects. Ideally somebody already working in or with previous experience of working in the Nordics region.

    You will have:

    - A proven track record working for recognised international or Tier 1 main contractors.
    - Extensive experience leading the commercial delivery of large-scale construction projects.
    - Strong contractual knowledge and commercial acumen.
    - Excellent leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
    - Experience managing and developing commercial teams.
    - A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
    - Professional membership (MRICS or equivalent) would be advantageous.

    Preferred Experience:

Previous hyperscale or mission-critical data centre experience would be highly advantageous.
However, we're equally keen to speak with experienced Commercial Managers who have successfully delivered major projects in sectors such as:

Candidates should have experience delivering complex, high-value projects for recognised international main contractors.

    Eligibility:

Candidates must be willing to work on rotation in Finland.

    Salary & Benefits:

    - Basic salary of €160,000–€180,000, depending on experience.
