How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Project Manager will manage projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior colleagues. This Project Manager role would suit a confident Project Manager who can take ownership of project delivery, manage multiple stakeholders, and maintain strong client relationships. The successful Project Manager will join a supportive regional team with clear progression opportunities and strong professional development support.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

    The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will support and lead projects across Bristol and the wider South West, working through both pre-contract and post-contract stages.

The Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, consultant coordination, procurement support, contract administration, project reporting, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and contractor liaison.

The Project Manager will chair project meetings, monitor progress, maintain project documentation, and help ensure schemes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They will also work closely with multidisciplinary teams and provide clear advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle.

    The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will have:

Prior experience working within a construction consultancy environment
Experience delivering commercial, education, heritage, or similar construction projects
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or working towards a relevant professional qualification
Good knowledge of JCT contracts and construction project delivery
Experience managing projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages
Strong communication, organisation, and client-facing skills
The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
A proactive, professional, and commercially aware approach

    In Return?

    £45,000 - £55,000
    Pension contribution
    Professional membership fees paid
    APC and chartership support
    Ongoing training and professional development
Varied commercial, education, and heritage project exposure
    Clear progression opportunities
    Supportive and collaborative Bristol team
    Hybrid working may be available
