How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Facilities & Compliance Engineer Location: Redditch
    Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday | Days Only
About the Company We are a well-established manufacturing business based in Redditch, committed to maintaining a safe, compliant and efficient working environment. Due to continued investment, we are looking to recruit a Facilities & Compliance Engineer to take ownership of all non-production engineering activities across the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a Monday to Friday days-based role with responsibility for site compliance, facilities management and contractor coordination.
The Role As the Facilities & Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the site's infrastructure, utilities and statutory compliance are maintained to the highest standards. Working closely with the Engineering and Operations teams, you will manage planned inspections, contractor activities and ensure all legal requirements are met across the facility.
This role focuses on the site itself rather than manufacturing equipment, making it ideal for someone with experience in facilities engineering, building services or compliance management.
    Key Responsibilities
Manage all statutory inspections, testing and certification across the site.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
Coordinate servicing and maintenance of site utilities including generators, compressors, boilers and HVAC systems.
Manage planned preventative maintenance schedules for all facilities equipment.
Oversee contractor management, permits to work and site inductions.
Ensure all electrical testing, pressure systems inspections and lifting equipment inspections are completed on schedule.
Maintain compliance records and engineering documentation.
Support site audits and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Monitor building fabric and coordinate repairs where required.
Work closely with external contractors and regulatory bodies.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in facilities and compliance processes.
Assist with site projects and infrastructure improvements.
Ensure emergency systems, fire protection equipment and building services remain fully operational. About You We're looking for someone who has:

Previous experience in a Facilities Engineer, Site Services Engineer or Compliance Engineer position.
A strong understanding of statutory compliance within a manufacturing environment.
Experience managing contractors and planned maintenance schedules.
Knowledge of building services and site utilities.
Understanding of electrical compliance, pressure systems, generators and HVAC systems.
    Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications would be advantageous.
Engineering qualifications (Electrical or Mechanical) are desirable. What's on Offer
    Salary of £45,000 - £50,000
    Monday to Friday days only
    Excellent work-life balance
    Company pension
    Ongoing training and development
    Stable and growing manufacturing business
Opportunities to lead site improvement projects
Supportive engineering and management team If you're an experienced Facilities or Compliance Engineer looking for a varied, days-only role where you can take ownership of site compliance and facilities management, we'd love to hear from you
