How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    As OHL Project Manager (LV-33kV) will oversee the planning, delivery, and management of overhead line (OHL) works across low-voltage to 33kV networks, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with relevant industry standards.

    Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating field teams and subcontractors, managing work schedules and resource allocation, and monitoring project progress against programme and budget targets. The role involves reviewing technical designs and work instructions, supporting risk assessments and method statements, and ensuring adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

    The OHL Project Manager will also liaise with clients and internal stakeholders, resolve operational issues, maintain accurate project documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement across overhead line operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead the safe planning and delivery of LV-33kV overhead line projects.
    Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and resources to ensure efficient project delivery.
    Monitor project performance against programme, budget, and quality objectives.
    Review technical documentation, designs, and work instructions.
    Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and industry standards.
    Support the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements.
    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
    Resolve operational challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    Maintain accurate project records and reporting.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Experience managing overhead line projects on LV-33kV distribution networks, with a strong understanding of utility industry standards and procedures.
    Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation, including safe systems of work, risk assessments, and method statements.
    Proven ability to manage field teams, subcontractors, and project resources effectively.
    Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
    Experience producing reports and maintaining project documentation.
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with project scheduling or asset management systems.
    Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Distribution, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
    Previous experience within the UK utilities or power distribution sector is highly desirable.
    Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
