How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Key Account Manager

    Altera Recruitment Group is partnering with a specialist advanced COMAH site operating at the forefront of the energy transition. Supporting customers across multiple sectors, this innovative organisation develops bespoke fuel solutions that improve performance while helping reduce environmental impact.

    As Key Account Manager, you will become the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high profile customers, taking ownership of specialist projects from enquiry through to delivery. This is a highly varied commercial role where relationship management, organisation and attention to detail are critical to success.

    Working closely with commercial, technical, operations and logistics teams, you will ensure complex customer requirements are delivered efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of service across a global supply chain.

    Key Responsibilities of the Key Account Manager

    * Build and develop trusted relationships with key clients, acting as the primary contact for specialist commercial projects

    * Coordinate the end to end delivery of bespoke fuel blends, managing quality assurance, logistics, documentation and customer communication

    * Support the commercial team with quotations, tenders, RFQs and contract management

    * Manage customer orders from purchase order through to delivery, ensuring accurate planning, stock availability and order fulfilment

    * Work collaboratively across technical, production and logistics teams to deliver exceptional customer service and continuous improvement

    Candidate Requirements

    * Previous experience managing key customer accounts within a commercial or technical environment

    * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

    * Excellent communication and relationship building skills with high profile customers

    * Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM or ERP systems

    * Knowledge of import, export or customs processes would be advantageous
