How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an organised, confident and proactive Reception & Business Support Co-ordinator to become the heart of our office team.

    About the Role

    This is much more than a reception position.

    You'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers while providing vital administrative support to our office team and directors. No two days are the same, and you'll play a key role in keeping the business running smoothly.

    You'll work closely with our Office Manager and support multiple departments across the business.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently.

    *

    Manage the shared office email inbox.

    *

    Welcome customers and visitors to the office.

    *

    Assist with booking appointments and coordinating engineers where required.

    *

    Process customer payments and deposits.

    *

    Support the payroll process.

    *

    Prepare documents, letters and general correspondence.

    *

    Maintain accurate customer and job records.

    *

    Assist with general office administration and filing.

    *

    Order office supplies when required.

    *

    Provide administrative support to the directors and wider office team.

    *

    Help improve office systems and processes.

    *

    Deliver an exceptional level of customer service at every opportunity.

    About You

    We're looking for someone who is:

    *

    Friendly, approachable and professional.

    *

    Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

    *

    Confident speaking with customers on the telephone.

    *

    Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.

    *

    Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new software.

    *

    A proactive problem solver who uses their own initiative.

    *

    Reliable, trustworthy and committed to high standards.

    *

    A genuine team player who enjoys supporting others.

    Previous administration, reception or customer service experience is preferred, but attitude, organisation and a willingness to learn are just as important.

    Experience within the plumbing, heating or construction industry would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
