Are you an organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity in a beautiful rural location? We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join our friendly finance team based in the stunning surroundings of Whitfield, Herefordshire.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a busy finance function, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with VAT processes, and ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT returns
Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
Processing invoices, payments and expenses
Supporting month-end and year-end finance activities
Producing reports and spreadsheets using Excel
Ensuring financial information is accurate and up to date
Working closely with colleagues across the business
About You
AAT qualified (or equivalent)
Previous finance/accounts experience
Strong understanding of VAT and experience of VAT return submissions
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work effectively to deadlines
Competent IT user with good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Positive, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
