How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Ready to build a career in advanced manufacturing—or take your CNC expertise to the next level? Join a growing precision engineering business producing high-quality composite components for demanding industries, including aerospace.
There are opportunities across the manufacturing team, from general labourer and production operative positions to experienced CNC setter, operator and skilled CNC programmer roles. Whatever your starting point, you will have the chance to contribute, develop and be part of a quality-focused team.
If you are new to engineering, this could be your opportunity to get started, learn practical skills and build a long-term career. It is particularly well suited to someone who wants to join as a labourer and progress into an apprenticeship starting in September 2027. Experienced CNC professionals can look forward to technically engaging work in a modern precision environment.
    Where could you fit in?
Your role will be shaped around your skills and experience. You may support day-to-day production and learn core manufacturing skills, set and operate CNC machinery, or programme and optimise machining processes for precision-engineered components.
You will play a part in creating a safe, efficient and high-quality manufacturing environment. Flexibility is important, so you must be willing and able to work shifts.
Experienced candidates may work with a range of machinery and controls, including:
    ➜HAAS
    ➜DMG
    ➜Doosan
    ➜Mazak
    ➜Fanuc
    ➜Siemens
    ➜Heidenhain
    Key duties
    * Supporting production, material handling, housekeeping and general manufacturing activities
    * Following safe working practices, quality procedures and job instructions
    * Learning manufacturing processes and developing practical engineering skills
    * Setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines, where suitably experienced
    * Creating, editing and optimising CNC programmes for skilled programming roles
    * Working from engineering drawings, samples and sketches
    * Carrying out relevant first-off, stage and final inspections
    * Completing production and inspection documentation accurately
    * Contributing to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
    * Working collaboratively with production, planning, quality and engineering colleagues
    What you will bring
    * A reliable, positive and proactive approach to work
    * A willingness and ability to work shifts
    * Commitment to health and safety, quality and good housekeeping
    * Good teamwork, communication and attention to detail
    * For entry-level roles, previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not essential
    * For skilled roles, relevant CNC setting, operating or programming experience and the ability to interpret engineering drawings
    * Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain or similar controls would be beneficial for CNC positions
    * Aerospace or composite machining experience would be advantageous for experienced roles
Ready to take the next step? Apply with your latest CV and let us know which opportunity best matches your experience and ambitions. Whether you are taking your first step into manufacturing or bringing established CNC expertise, we would be pleased to hear from you.
