How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Drive Financial Performance. Influence Operations. Shape The Future

We're working with a highly respected and growing UK FMCG business to recruit an Operations Finance Manager for one of its key production sites.

This really is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams rather than sitting behind spreadsheets.

You'll become a trusted business partner to senior site leadership, helping drive profitability, operational efficiency and strategic decision making across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

If you're someone who enjoys challenging the status quo, influencing stakeholders and turning financial insight into business performance, we'd love to hear from you.

    The opportunity

This is far more than a traditional finance role. You'll sit at the heart of the operation, partnering with senior leaders across manufacturing, engineering and supply chain to improve profitability, optimise costs and support investment decisions.

You'll provide the financial leadership that enables the site to make better commercial decisions while helping deliver continuous improvement across people, processes and performance.

    What you'll be responsible for:

    Business Partnering

Acting as the key finance partner to the Site Leadership Team

Providing commercial insight that supports operational decision making

Challenging and supporting budget holders to improve financial performance

Identifying opportunities to improve EBITDA, reduce costs and optimise efficiency

Supporting payroll processes and ensuring robust financial controls

Providing financial input into production planning and S&OP activity

Supporting strategic and business improvement projects

    Financial Planning & Reporting

Producing weekly and monthly management reporting

Leading forecasting, budgeting and quarterly reforecasts

    Monitoring business risks and opportunities

Supporting capital investment appraisals and CapEx reporting

Driving improvements through standardisation, automation and smarter reporting

    Financial Control

Ensuring strong governance and financial controls across site operations

    Maintaining robust balance sheet reconciliations

Supporting compliance with group finance policies and delegated authorities

    Who we are looking for?

    ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified

Experienced within FMCG, or another fast-paced manufacturing environment

A confident Finance Business Partner with strong commercial awareness

Experienced within operational or manufacturing finance

Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders across multiple departments

Experience of TM1 or M3 would be advantageous but isn't essential.

    You'll be someone who...

Builds credibility quickly with operational teams

    Enjoys solving commercial problems

Challenges constructively while maintaining strong relationships

    Thrives in fast-moving environments

    Has a continuous improvement mindset

Communicates financial information in a way everyone understands

Wants to make a genuine impact on business performance

    Why apply?

This is an opportunity to join a well-established UK manufacturer that continues to invest in its people, operations and future growth.

You'll work alongside an experienced leadership team where finance is viewed as a genuine business partner rather than simply a reporting function.

The role offers real visibility, influence and the chance to shape operational performance while developing your own career within a supportive and progressive environment.

    Salary & Benefits

    £70,000 salary

    Competitive benefits package

    Hybrid pattern

    Career development opportunities

    Collaborative and supportive leadership team

Opportunity to influence strategic decision making

    Interested?

If you're looking for an Operations Finance role where you can genuinely influence performance and partner with senior stakeholders, we'd love to hear from you. Contact ReQuire Consultancy today for a confidential conversation
