How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    KS2 Teacher - Preston (PR5) | September 2026 Start

    Key Stage 2 Teacher
    Location: Preston (PR5)
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract: Full-time, initially for one term (with the potential to be extended)
    Salary: M1-M6 (dependent on experience)

    We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the PR5 area of Preston that is seeking an enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a full-time role for the Autumn Term, with the possibility of the position being extended as the school is considering recruiting on a permanent basis.

    Whether you're an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin your teaching journey or an experienced teacher seeking a fresh challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

    The Role

    As the successful KS2 Teacher, you will:

    Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
    Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress.
    Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
    Attend staff meetings, parent's evenings, and other school events as required.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

    The Ideal Candidate

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (including placements for ECTs).
    Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
    Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
    Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
