How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Supply Teacher Role

    As a Supply Teacher, you will:

    Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across the Primary Key Stages.
    Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and school settings.
    Follow lesson plans provided by the school or plan lessons where required.
    Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
    Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school's policies.
    Support pupils' learning and encourage them to achieve their full potential.
    Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate.
    Maintain accurate records and provide feedback at the end of each assignment.Ideal Candidate

    The successful candidate will:

    Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    Have recent experience teaching within UK primary schools.
    Have a strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
    Be confident teaching across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2.
    Be adaptable, flexible, and able to quickly settle into new school environments.
    Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
    Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    Be passionate about delivering engaging lessons that inspire pupils to learn.
    Be committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of every child.
    Be reliable, professional, and enthusiastic about making a positive impact in the classroom.
