How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Role:

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Warranty Advisor to join one of our valued clients in Portsmouth, an established and highly reputable business within the automotive sector. This is a full-time, office-based role within a supportive and collaborative team, reporting directly to the Aftersales Manager.

    If you are looking to move away from customer-facing roles in an aftersales and seeking a more structured working pattern without weekend shifts, this is an excellent opportunity to progress your career in a rewarding and dynamic aftersales environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage, submit, and reconcile all vehicle warranty claims efficiently and accurately.

    Maintain a strong understanding of automotive workshop processes, with a preference for experience in warranty management.

    Submit and process warranty and goodwill claims daily and weekly, ensuring all claims are closed within the required timescales.

    Monitor and report on warranty data daily, weekly, and monthly to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.

    Ideally, you will have experience in a workshop environment, whether as a Workshop Controller, Service Advisor, or Warranty Executive, with a solid understanding of warranty procedures.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    Strong automotive workshop experience with a comprehensive understanding of vehicle warranty claims and processes.

    Previous experience in a similar role, such as Workshop Controller, Parts Advisor, Service Advisor, or Warranty Executive would be considered.

    The Package:

    Competitive basic salary of up to £28,000, rising to £29,000 once accredited with an OTE of £3,000 per annum (virtually guaranteed) plus additional company benefits.

    Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 – No weekend work.
