How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Welsh Speaking Students - Flexible School Work in Cardiff | September Start

    Are you a Welsh Speaking Student who will be starting or continuing your studies this September? Are you looking for flexible work that fits around your university timetable while giving you valuable experience working with children? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you in Cardiff.

    We are currently recruiting Welsh Speaking Students to work as Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors within Primary and Secondary schools across Cardiff and the surrounding areas on an ad-hoc, flexible basis.

    This role is ideal for Welsh Speaking Students who want to earn alongside their studies without committing to fixed working patterns. You choose the days and hours you work based around your university timetable. If assignments, exams or coursework start to take priority, that's absolutely fine - we won't pressure you to accept work. Everything is on your terms.

    The Role

    Flexible Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor opportunities.

    Requirements

    Fluent Welsh speaker.

    Willingness to complete our registration process, including:
    Enhanced DBS check.
    Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
    Providing the required right-to-work and identification documents.
