How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A respected law firm is seeking a compassionate and organised Court of Protection Paralegal to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Court of Protection Paralegal looking to develop their legal career within a specialist team supporting clients and their families. The successful Court of Protection Paralegal will work alongside experienced Partners and fee earners, gaining exposure to a broad range of Court of Protection matters while developing strong technical and client management skills.

    The Role

    As the Court of Protection Paralegal you will support the team with the day-to-day management of client matters, legal documentation and financial administration.

    The role will include:

    * Supporting Partners and fee earners across a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters
    * Opening client files and completing onboarding and compliance checks
    * Drafting correspondence, legal documents and client communications
    * Maintaining accurate electronic and paper case files
    * Liaising with clients, families, professionals and third parties
    * Managing incoming calls, emails and correspondence
    * Assisting with financial administration, including client account records and payment processes

    The Court of Protection Paralegal?

    You will be an organised and empathetic individual with an interest in developing your career within Court of Protection law.

    The Court of Protection Paralegal must have:

    * Genuine interest in Court of Protection work and supporting vulnerable clients
    * Previous legal experience is desirable, ideally within Court of Protection, Private Client or a similar area
    * LPC, Law Degree, CILEX or equivalent qualification would be advantageous
    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    * Strong organisation and attention to detail
    * Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
    * Professional and empathetic approach when dealing with clients and families
