How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Sales & Relationship Manager (Building Services)

    £55,000 - £60,000 + Bonus + Benefits

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected organisation and play a key role in growing membership and affiliate partnerships across the business. You'll be responsible for developing meaningful client relationships, identifying commercial opportunities, and expanding engagement across a range of services, training, publications, and subscriptions. You'll also support the continued growth of the organisation's affiliate network and contribute to future strategic partnership initiatives.

    This role would suit someone with proven experience in Business Development, Account Management, Relationship Management, or Customer Success, ideally within Professional Services, Engineering, Building Services, or a related sector.

    The Role

    Grow existing member and affiliate accounts through relationship management, upselling, and cross-selling.
    Identify new business opportunities and promote the organisation's full range of services and subscriptions.
    Build strong client relationships, represent the organisation at industry events, and encourage engagement.
    Maintain accurate CRM records, manage sales pipelines, and provide commercial reporting and market insights.

    The Person

    Proven experience in Business Development, Account Management, Customer Success, or Relationship Management.
    Strong consultative sales, negotiation, and account growth skills with a customer-focused approach.
    Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
    Commercially driven, organised, and willing to travel across the UK, with experience in professional services, engineering, or building services being advantageous.
