How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Vehicle Technician
    £30,000 - £45,000 Basic Salary (DOE) + Monthly Bonus
    Chelmsford
    Permanent | Full Time
    Monday to Friday (8:00am – 5:00pm) | 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:30am – 12:30pm)
    Our client, a busy and well-established main dealership based in Chelmsford, is looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their growing workshop team.
    Due to continued expansion, the workshop is increasing from 11 Technicians to 15, making this an excellent opportunity to join a successful dealership with a strong workshop culture, excellent earning potential and genuine long-term career prospects.
    Whether you're an experienced Service Technician or a Diagnostic Technician looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
    Duties & Responsibilities
    * Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to the highest standards.
    * Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
    * Complete vehicle health checks and identify any additional work required.
    * Work closely with Workshop Control and the Service Department to ensure an efficient workflow.
    * Adhere to manufacturer procedures and workshop standards.
    * Ensure all work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
    * Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
    * Deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer satisfaction at all times.
    Your Background & Skills
    * Level 3 IMI/NVQ qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
    * Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within the motor trade.
    * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills are advantageous.
    * Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
    * Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
    * Full UK Driving Licence.
