This amazing, vibrant and nurturing special school is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to enhance the SEND provision for Key Stage 3 and 4 students with Autism and Moderate Learning Needs. The successful SENCO will play a key role in shaping high-quality provision, working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and external agencies to create a structured and nurturing learning environment for students with additional needs.
The Role:
Supporting students with Autism and Moderate Learning Needs
Overseeing EHCPs, annual reviews and SEND documentation
Working closely with teachers to develop high-quality, differentiated teaching strategies
Monitoring student progress and ensuring appropriate interventions are in place
Supporting staff with training, guidance and best practice in SEND
Liaising with parents, carers and external professionals
Contributing to whole-school improvement and inclusive practiceThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status and the appropriate SENCO qualification
Previous experience working within a SEND or specialist setting
Strong understanding of Autism and Moderate Learning Needs
Experience supporting Key Stage 3 and 4 students
Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills
