How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    SENCO – Special School – Secondary
    This amazing, vibrant and nurturing special school is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to enhance the SEND provision for Key Stage 3 and 4 students with Autism and Moderate Learning Needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a SENCO who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to ensuring that every young person receives the support they need to succeed. The school has an outstanding reputation in the local community for providing children with an engaging education that is tailored to their individual needs.

    The successful SENCO will play a key role in shaping high-quality provision, working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and external agencies to create a structured and nurturing learning environment for students with additional needs.

    The Role:

    Supporting students with Autism and Moderate Learning Needs
    Overseeing EHCPs, annual reviews and SEND documentation
    Working closely with teachers to develop high-quality, differentiated teaching strategies
    Monitoring student progress and ensuring appropriate interventions are in place
    Supporting staff with training, guidance and best practice in SEND
    Liaising with parents, carers and external professionals
    Contributing to whole-school improvement and inclusive practiceThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    Qualified Teacher Status and the appropriate SENCO qualification
    Previous experience working within a SEND or specialist setting
    Strong understanding of Autism and Moderate Learning Needs
    Experience supporting Key Stage 3 and 4 students
    Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills
