How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate to join its specialist Catastrophic Injury team.

    Your new role

You will join a nationally recognised team handling some of the most complex and high-profile catastrophic injury cases in the UK. Working alongside leading practitioners in the field, you will manage a caseload of high-value motor, employer's liability and public liability claims involving life-changing injuries, catastrophic loss and sensitive circumstances.

The role offers responsibility for significant cases from inception through to resolution, often involving complex liability, causation and quantum issues, substantial future loss claims and matters attracting media attention.

    Key responsibilities will include:

Managing a caseload of complex catastrophic injury matters.
Handling high-value motor, EL and PL claims on behalf of insurer clients.
Advising on liability, causation, quantum and litigation strategy.
Managing claims involving serious and life-changing injuries.
Working closely with insurers, experts, counsel and other stakeholders.
Supporting business development and strengthening client relationships.
Supervising and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
Contributing to the continued growth and success of the practice.

    What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with significant experience handling defendant catastrophic injury claims.
Significant experience within catastrophic injury litigation.
Strong background in motor, employer's liability and/or public liability claims.
Extensive experience managing high-value and complex injury matters.
In-depth understanding of future losses and quantum assessment.
Excellent technical, drafting and analytical skills.
Strong client management and stakeholder engagement experience.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

    What you'll get in return

Opportunity to join a leading catastrophic injury practice with an outstanding market reputation.
Exposure to some of the most complex and high-profile injury litigation in the sector.
Genuine career progression opportunities within a growing national team.
    Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
A very competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Supportive and collaborative culture focused on professional development and long-term career growth.
