How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Opportunity: Shuttering Joiner

    Location: Blyth & surrounding areas

Pay Rate: £25.00 per hour (CIS)

Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

    Duration: Long-term work

    The Opportunity

Search Consultancy is looking for highly skilled Shuttering Joiners to secure a long-term run of work on a major project in Blyth. We are partnering with a leading main contractor specialising in heavy civils and concrete structures.

If you are a tradesperson looking to step away from short-term "stop-gap" jobs and want a consistent, high-volume week with a professional outfit that provides excellent project longevity, this is the perfect role for you.

    Your Role & Responsibilities

Working on a fast-paced structural concrete development in Blyth, your duties will include:

Formwork Installation: Erecting and striking proprietary formwork systems (such as Peri, Doka, or Skydeck) as well as traditional bespoke timber shutters.

Blueprint Precision: Reading, interpreting, and working strictly from structural engineering drawings to ensure all formwork is true to line and level.

Structural Bracing: Ensuring all shutters are safely and securely propped, braced, and anchored to successfully withstand heavy concrete pours.

Quality Assurance: Checking tolerances and internal cleanliness of forms prior to steel placement and pouring.

Site Safety: Adhering to strict civils safety guidelines, including the safe manual handling of heavy systems.

    What We're Looking For

Blue CSCS Card (Skilled Worker): A valid Formwork / Shuttering Carpentry CSCS card is a mandatory requirement.

Technical Expertise: Deep experience working with both modular panel systems and traditional timber formwork on civils projects.

Reliability & Commitment: Looking for a tradesperson committed to a stable, long-term run of work with a strong, punctual work ethic.

Tools & PPE: Must have a comprehensive kit of specialist carpentry tools and standard 5-point PPE.

Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.

    Why Work With Search?

High Earning Potential: A competitive CIS rate of £25.00 per hour with a guaranteed 50 hours of work per week.

Long-Term Stability: Secure your income with a project scheduled for a consistent, long-term duration in the Northumberland area.

Weekly Pay: Reliable, on-time payments processed into your account every single Friday via CIS.

Steady Pipeline: Work with our dedicated North East construction desk, which keeps the area's top tradespeople continuously placed on major structural builds.

Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age
