How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teaching Assistant - Secondary School | Ealing | September 2026

We are currently working with a friendly and supportive secondary school based in Ealing, who are looking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

    About the Role

    The successful candidate will work alongside experienced teaching staff to provide additional support to students across the school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will help create an engaging classroom environment, support learning activities, and encourage students to build confidence and independence.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Support teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.

    Work with students individually and in small groups to support their learning.

    Assist pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.

    Encourage positive behaviour and promote a respectful learning environment.

    Help prepare resources and support classroom organisation.

    Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

    Monitor student progress and share feedback with teaching staff.

    Requirements

    Experience working with children or young people is desirable.

    A genuine interest in supporting education and student development.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    A patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach.

    Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.

    Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

    Right to work in the UK.
