How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A specialist immigration law firm is seeking an Immigration Paralegal to join its growing team. This Immigration Paralegal role offers the opportunity to support a US Attorney on a range of US business immigration matters, gaining exposure to complex client cases and developing specialist immigration knowledge. The successful Immigration Paralegal will ideally have experience in US business immigration, however candidates with strong legal experience, a genuine interest in immigration law and a willingness to learn will also be considered.

    The successful Immigration Paralegal will join a specialist immigration practice focused on providing tailored advice to businesses and individuals. The team offers a supportive environment, hands-on training and the opportunity to develop expertise within a niche area of immigration law.

    The Role

    As the Immigration Paralegal you will support the US Attorney and wider team across a range of US business immigration matters.

    The role will include:

    * Supporting the preparation and management of US business immigration applications
    * Assisting with case preparation, document review and client correspondence
    * Conducting legal research and preparing case notes
    * Reviewing supporting evidence and ensuring documentation is accurate
    * Liaising with clients and third parties throughout the immigration process
    * Preparing forms, submissions and supporting documentation
    * Maintaining accurate case files and case management records
    * Monitoring deadlines and ensuring matters progress efficiently
    * Providing general administrative and legal support to the team

    The Immigration Paralegal?

    You will be an organised and motivated individual with an interest in developing a career within US immigration law.

    The Immigration Paralegal must have:

    * Previous paralegal or legal support experience
    * Experience in US business immigration would be advantageous
    * Strong interest in immigration law and willingness to learn
    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
    * Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
    * Professional and client-focused approach
    * Good IT skills and confidence using case management systems
