How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The role will also involve tracking behaviour referrals, monitoring restorative conversations, supporting on-call duties, maintaining corridor presence and contributing to behaviour panels or reintegration meetings where required.

Ensure students complete appropriate academic work while in reflection.
Track and report on behaviour referrals, patterns, frequency and student progress.
Monitor restorative conversation systems and support follow-up actions.
Liaise with pastoral and behaviour teams to support reintegration plans.
Support on-call duties, corridor presence and de-escalation where required.
Deliver behaviour interventions for individual students or groups.
Contribute to behaviour panels, reintegration meetings and planning discussions.
Provide feedback to curriculum and pastoral teams on student behaviour and engagement.
Build effective relationships with parents and carers to remove barriers and support students.
Support the development and implementation of whole-school behaviour policy and practice.
Use ICT and school systems to record behaviour information and produce clear reports.
Promote inclusion, equal opportunities and positive relationships across the school.
Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately.
    Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience working with children or young people across the secondary age range.
Experience in a pastoral, behaviour, inclusion or internal exclusion role is strongly desirable.
A broad understanding of effective behaviour strategies and procedures is essential.
Candidates must be confident supporting students at risk of suspension or repeated behaviour concerns.
Experience implementing pastoral support programmes or behaviour interventions is desirable.
Applicants should be able to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents or carers.
Strong organisation, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Candidates must be able to motivate students and maintain high standards in a school environment.
Competent ICT skills are required, including the ability to record information and produce clear reports.

GCSE English and Maths or equivalent are required.
Applicants must be committed to safeguarding, inclusion and equal opportunities.
Applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
