How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business & Computer Science Teacher - Wigan - September

    Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a talented and motivated Business & Computer Science Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the Wigan area from September 2026.

    This is a full-time teaching position running until Christmas 2026, with the potential to be extended for the right candidate.

    The successful Business & Computer Science Teacher will teach Business Studies and Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' commercial awareness, digital literacy and problem-solving skills. The school is seeking an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students and contribute positively to a thriving department.

    The successful Business & Computer Science Teacher will:

    Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Have experience teaching Business Studies and/or Computer Science within a UK secondary school
    Be confident teaching across KS3 and KS4
    Deliver engaging and well-planned lessons that challenge and motivate students
    Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management
    Be committed to achieving excellent outcomes for all learners

    The role offers:

    September 2026 start
    Full-time teaching position
    Long-term contract until at least Christmas 2026
    Daily pay from £168.80 to £232.56, depending on experience and teacher pay scale

    Ongoing support from a dedicated Secondary Education ConsultantThis opportunity would suit an experienced Business Teacher, Computer Science Teacher, ICT Teacher, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to secure a long-term role within a supportive secondary school.
