Key Responsibilities
* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.
* Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
* Measure and value works throughout the project lifecycle.
* Prepare and submit valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
* Manage variations, change orders, and cost reporting.
* Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow.
* Procure subcontractors and suppliers where required.
* Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements.
* Liaise with clients, project managers, engineers, and site teams.
* Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
* Ensure projects are delivered within budget and contractual requirements.
* Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the structural steel or construction industry.
* Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
* Full UK driving licence (preferred).
* Right to work in the UK
Salary description
£50000.00 - £55000.00 per year
