How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Our Client

    Domestic Air Conditioning Engineer required for our client. They are a highly rated plumbing, heating, renewables, air conditioning, and electrical services company based in Reading, covering Berkshire, South Oxfordshire, Surrey, and North Hampshire.     Domestic Air Conditioning Engineer Responsibilities

    • Install domestic and light commercial air conditioning systems, including split and multi-split systems
    • Carry out service, maintenance, and fault-finding on domestic AC systems
    • Complete system upgrades and energy efficiency improvements
    • Commission and test new installations
    • Diagnose faults and provide effective technical solutions
    • Deliver a professional, customer-focused service in private domestic and light commercial properties
    • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with current regulations
    • Maintain accurate job records and communicate clearly with the office team

    Domestic Air Conditioning Engineer Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in air conditioning
    • F-Gas certification essential
    • Experience working on split and multi-split systems essential
    • Experience with heat pumps or ventilation systems advantageous
    • Electrical knowledge or relevant electrical qualifications advantageous
    • Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving ability
    • Good planning and organisational skills
    • Excellent communication skills and a professional approach with customers
    • Positive, proactive attitude with pride in delivering high-quality work
    • Full UK Driving Licence

    Domestic Air Conditioning Engineer Remuneration

    • Salary £45,000 – £60,000
